A Few Small Finishes

Hello! I posted my goals for the rest of the week on Wednesday and I have a funny story. One of my goals was to complete my July $5 quilt blocks but when I went to get the supplies I discovered I had already done them! Ha! I guess I was more ahead than I realized! That turned out to be quite helpful because I had a couple things come up this week that were unplanned so I had less time to sew. Here they are.

I did make both quilt labels but I only got one attached. I'm still deciding how I want to do my son's.

And I made my hexagon log cabin block which means my August bee blocks were completed in July! They are both going in the mail today. The hexagon, to South Carolina and the green block, to Germany. :)

I also received an exciting surprise yesterday. I won a paper copy of Fun-Size Quilts from Fat Quarter Shop's recent blog hop! I can't wait to get it and make some of the adorable mini quilts! :)

I'm linking up today with crazy mom quilts' finish it up Friday and
I'm also linking for the first time to Lily's Quilts Small Blogs Meet. It's a blog hop done the first of every month for blogs with a small following to meet new blogging friends! Check out this month's hop!

Have a sew crafty weekend!

  2. Nice fussy cutting on the hexagon log cabin block! And I'm so impressed that you're ahead of deadlines. I have one lingering bee block from July that's haunting me until I get 'er done...

  3. Love that hexie block! I can't get ahead of you in my bee blocks, but it was a great reminder that it's new month and I've got to get to work on one for my Global Scrap Bee!

  6. I have mixed feelings about hexagons. They look like they require more patience than I have! Found you through Lily's Quilts.
