Snow Day Finish

Happy Friday everyone! Well, this week sure didn't turn out like I thought it would. We are on our 3rd snow day in a row so I have not gotten much done. But between reading lessons, putting together a 500-piece puzzle and playing with my son, I did manage to finish a couple things.

I made the Chinese Butterfly block for Kristin, my newbee hive January queen. It turned out so cute! Kristin is going to add the antennae when she quilts it.

I also finished cutting all my pieces for Double Crossed. The only thing I'll need to cut before construction is the 4.5" squares. They need to be cut into triangles but I don't want all those bias edges to sit there and possibly get distorted. Now I need to put that away for a bit and work on other projects that I would like to finish this month.

If I meet my goals early, I'll pull this back out and start construction. Otherwise, that will happen in February. I'm going to try really hard to stick to my lists that I made. I'm using the quilt project sheets that Taryn of from Pixels to Patchwork developed. I really like them and I think they'll keep me organized and on target to get all my projects done this year. Of course, I keep mentally adding projects so we'll see how that goes! :)

I'm linking up today to finish it up Friday at crazy mom quilts and Can I Get a Whoop Whoop?

Have a sew crafty weekend!

Jenn
