Finished placemats - a late Christmas gift

Happy Friday everyone! I am very happy to announce that I have FINALLY finished my aunt's placemats that I had planned to give her for Christmas. They are winter on one side and spring on the other. They measure about 13.5" x 19.5" and will shrink a bit. The winter side is made from fabric by Connecting Threads and the spring side is from the Mint Condition collection for Camelot Fabrics purchased from Hawthorne Threads.

I also finished the December $5 quilt blocks that will go into the twin-sized quilt for my grandpa and I decided on a layout that I like. I had to use the floor because the blocks kept falling off my design wall! There will be sashing between each block, along with 2 borders. I wasn't too sure about these fabrics at the beginning of last year but I think they all came together nicely and this will be a great masculine quilt. I'm excited!

So, considering we had 2 snow days this week, I did pretty well on my to do list! I am linking up today to Can I Get a WHOOP WHOOP? and crazy mom quilts finish it up Friday.

Have a sew crafty weekend!

Jenn
