A Couple Finishes

Hello everyone! I'm a day late posting this because my computer was having Internet issues yesterday. But that's okay. Max was home from school Mon-Wed of this week with a wheezy cough but is now feeling much better. So I didn't get anything done the first half of this week. We did work on his little sewing project for a bit on Wednesday. He added some more decorative stitching and some ribbons around 3 edges. He wants to make another square and sew it to the first one so we're waiting to add more ribbons. Then he wants to add some minky to the back to make it like a Taggie blanket. Here's his progress so far.

Cheryl, of Meadow Mist Designs, released the October directions for her Midnight Mystery quilt on Thursday and I was able to get those blocks done. I'm very excited to see how our flying geese and SiaS blocks will fit together with these giant courthouse steps blocks but I have to wait almost 5 weeks for the next instructions! Aaaahhhhh!

I was also able to sew up my mini Swoon quilt top. I really like how this one turned out. I'm loving my mini quilts and I'm wondering if I'll really be able to part with them if they sell at the craft fair!

I'm linking up today to Can I Get a WHOOP WHOOP?, crazy mom quilts' finish it up Friday and WHOOMP, There IT Is, a new Saturday linky party hosted by Zenia at A Quilted Passion!

Have a Sew Crafty weekend!

  2. Oh I love you mini quilts too Jenn! I don't think I've ever seen a mini swoon before.
Your blocks for the Midnight Mystery look great! It's the perfect fabric combo. It's going to be a lot of fun in the end, seeing how different everyone's quilts look.
Hooray for Max! That is a very sweet taggie blanket!

  3. Your mini swoon quilt is great! I haven't jumped on the "swoon" band wagon, yet, but am more tempted after seeing your mini. All of your mini tops are beautiful.

  5. Glad to hear Max is feeling better. Is it Asthma? His little project is very interesting and I like the idea of a minky on the back. Great color choices for the Midnight Mystery. Why do you have to wait so long for the next instructions?
